~Happy Birthday/ Happy Valentine's Day~

I never realized that my cousin Andy & I are 10 years apart (he's Jan 31st & I'm Feb 6th), so when I was in Fallbrook visiting we celebrated together. Yep I'm now 27 years....um....alive....ok ok ....I'm OooooOold! Young enough to still get carded....yet too old to get into places under the "children's admission" rates :(

Michael was so sweet this morning He got up & made me PINK PANCAKES in the shape of hearts...gave me a beautiful card w/ a gift card to go get new clothes after my surgery. Awww....

But then......

"Boogity Boogity Boogity....let's go racing boys!"

Michael & I have officially been together for 8years now....and haven't managed to kill each other yet! Sometimes I don't give him enough credit for putting up with me. I'm not always easy to get along with...lord knows! Haha! I love you, & thank you for the last wonderful 8 years of companionship!

I got my surgery date today!!! I was working in the Hanford office when I got the call...and I'll never forget just bursting into tears (happy tears) when she told me her soonest appt would be in less than 30 days. Get this...I've called & left 4 messages in the last 2 weeks at this point & felt like I was being rudely ignored....so this surprise was very overwhelming emotionally! My surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, February 24th @ Fresno Heart Hospital. It should take no more than 2 hrs & I will likely get to go home on Thursday. A tough feat that I will have to cowgirl up for is the 24 hrs of liquids ONLY prior to the surgery. So my last meal as "Old Kimberly" will be Monday the 22nd (haha---payday)...but you know what...it doesn't even bother me anymore.

Today is Lindsy's Birthday too! Happy Birthday! Congratulations for winning your award at the competition in Tulare today. Maybe someday you'll be a superstar in a rock band! Keep up with your music, I'm proud of your accomplishments. And if you make it big...don't forget your Aunt Kim & Uncle Michael :) Haha

End of 2009

Ok...I know I need to do this more often, it is so relaxing to share & vent. It doesn't even matter if people are reading or not, I just enjoy journaling things that have meant something to me. But for those who continue to peek in from time to time for updates, thanks!

The end of 2009 brought some good & bad my way. A big scare I encountered was the switch of medical insurance through my employer. At this point I was awaiting a final authorization & surgery date....and BAM! I thought I would really have to redo the last 6months of requirements to have the insurance cover my surgery (if they covered at all). But with some reassurance from loved ones & several calls to the new insurance, I was relieved to find out I would be covered under the "continuity of care" guideline. Fabuloso! Happy Christmas to me!

We spent Christmas Eve with Mike's family....playing games with the kids & eating yummy treats was very enjoyable. Miss Ashley got her letter of acceptance for the Fall 2010 enrollment to Fresno Sate University--Way to go BULLDOG!!





Just after Christmas I got to (re)meet someone, who I hope to continue & nuture a relationship with. Hey Lindz! Lindsy is my sister Amy's oldest child. She's 14, is very smart & mature (um ya...she's related to me!), can play the cello & bass guitar (amazing talent), and loves to read when she has time. Is there any doubt we are related? She's tall, has those pinchable cheeks, & beautiful eyes. Oh & did I mention she has cats too, just like Aunt Kim!



We spent New Year's Eve with the Morley's....who as we learned on my birthday are expecting their 1st baby! Congratualtions! Ricky asked me...."so how would you like to be an Aunt & Uncle to more than just cats & dogs?"......Wow!
