Thursday was a better night....bowling end of the year PAY OUT! Woo Hoo! My husband has done quite well for himself this season. He was the only bowler in his league to bowl a 300 the whole season. For this honor he was given a nice ring that was engraved w/ his name & date he bowled the 300 game (12/10/08, also Jamie's engagement date). So at the end of the season each player gets paid back a portion of the dues, but the more games you win on average, the more you get paid out. Any improvement of pins per average gets a little extra too, so this 300 game was beneficial! Mike's average is now @ 182....haha I'm lucky if I can get 82 pins per game!

Friday was a nice night home with my family. We made enchiladas, we watched 90210, we made a late night trip to Wal-Mart, haha...come on who hasn't? Friday was also my much anticipated first Nutrition/Diabetes doctor's appt. Yes, I have been diagnosed with early diabetes, & am now taking Metformin and having to prick my finger apprx 5x a day to test my sugar. This is good, because it has made me so much more aware of my food intake. With my decision to have the Gastric Bypass Surgery, these nutrition classes will prepare me for my biggest lifestyle change that will take place hopefully by next Jan/Feb. It will get my sugar under control, the weight will be lost which will tremendously help my legs (which have been bad since my car accident) and any genetic predispositioned heart problems. It's time to start taking care of my body & then if we choose to have children in the future, it might improve my dismal odds of conceiving. Haha, after the Octomom & Jon & Kate Plus Eight circus, Mike & I have chosen to not explore fertility treatments @ this juncture. Plus I have this little munchkin who keeps me busy enough!
Saturday was such an awesome day...I had my 1st IMAX Theatre experience in Fresno! We planned to see the Night At The Museum: Battle For The Smithsonian's and were a little hesitant because the tickets were not cheap! Each ticket was $15.75...so I'm thinking this better be a damn good movie! OMG! It is a ceiling to floor, wall to wall screen. Has awesome quality sound & picture....I told Michael I feel like I was @ California Adventures, riding the "Soaring Over California" ride! Plus if you ever have had the opportunity to visit any of the Smithsonian's in Washington DC, it is definitely a movie you will enjoy! I think I was nudging poor Michael every few minutes with a "I've been there"..."I've seen that"..." I stood in that exact spot"...haha!

Later that night I got to visit my old friend Ellen, she had a graduation celebration party at her house. A little bittersweet because we both started out at Fresno State together & had it all planned out to graduate together....but life happens. I am so proud of her though.

Sunday & Monday we visited w/ my cousins & Dad in Madera area. We BBQ'd, we laughed, even had backyard races! Needless to say Brandee's kids Nicky & Caity walked away with all the medals---very Michael Phelps like! Haha! I didn't get my pool time in, but we took Bella out on a sheet in the lawn for a few minutes, which was nice. We finally watched Bedtime Stories w/ Adam Sandler (cute!) and caught the season premiere of Jon & Kate Plus Eight. It has been a long week, but I must conclude by quoting the new Darryl Worley country song---"That's Life"!

For some MANLY comic relief we opted for "Yes Man"...a typical Jim Carrey flick. To me it ran borderline to his previous movie, "Liar Liar," where he has to tell the truth the whole time. However, in "Yes Man" he goes from being an avoidant-pity party-jerk to being a risk-taking-life-liver! He says YES to every opportunity that comes knocking.
Not much else exciting this weekend. Bella got an overdue bath....I got beautiful claw marks that look like I had a run in with the vampire from Twilight. Waiting to hear from Jamie after she gets settled in Spokane, Washington. *Tear, sniffle sniffle* Got new table lamps for our bedroom nightstands. Nothing fancy, but they serve their purpose. There are a couple things scheduled this month on the calendar...but we'll just see how the days go. Sorry nothing more interesting to report! Goodnight, Ribbit Ribbit!
